GYPSY WOMEN

This woman was begging in front of Wawel Castle in Cracow, Poland. I heard many complaints about gypsies that were prefaced with, "I'm not racist, but . . ." Gypsies have been persecuted or hundreds of years and were among the millions killed during the Holocaust. the policy of forced assimilation is clearly not succeeding in Eastern Europe. Hopefully an attitude of tolerance can be adopted in the future, and the little girl in this picture won't have to beg.
