I'm studying at Victoria University of Wellington this semester through IFSA-Butler University. Wellington is a really beautiful and diverse city, and there are always fun things to do and see here. It is also the capital of New Zealand, so (as a political science major) I've visited Parliament a lot, and government officials have spoken in front of my classes. I just finished travelling around the South Island for my autumn break, where among other things I went glacier hiking and whale watching! Since New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons are reversed, which has probably been the strangest thing to get accustomed to. Kiwis also drive on the left side of the road, which has made crossing streets a little difficult to get used to. Although I miss Wooster and all my friends there, I am going to have a hard time leaving New Zealand!
Also: If you ever come here, DO NOT try Vegemite. It is the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten in my life!
