Choose a theory, concept, or method (found in):
o communication textbooks
o theoretical articles in journals, essays in books, etc.
o methodological articles in journals, essays in books, etc.
o research reports
o etc.
Find Sources in/from:
o the library
o textbooks
o Internet discussion lists
o outside organizations, etc. (some can be found through directory sources in the library)
o experts in the field
Work on I.S. draft./Do study. Find More Sources:
Return to the library to find more information as needed.
End Result (Completed I.S.):
This should be a project that will challenge, confirm, or extend a theory, concept, or method.
