Student Employment Opportunities
Student assistants are valued employees of the Timken Science Library. Science library jobs provide students with opportunities to learn library practice and to become familiar with print and electronic science resources.
The primary functions of science library student coordinators include staffing the circulation desk, shelving library materials, providing basic reference service and performing other assigned tasks in support of the programs and services provided in the Timken Science Library. Persons holding this position are responsible for maintaining library services in the absence of the science librarian and science library associate. Hiring for science library student coordinators is typically done during the closing weeks of the spring semester for appointments that will begin with the start of the following fall semester. On occasion, openings may occur at other times during the course of the academic year.
College of Wooster students who are interested in applying for a job as a science library student coordinator may download and complete an application form and return it to Gwen Short . They also must complete all forms required by the Office of Student Employment.
