Area of Competency: Evaluation

Objectives:
a. acquire competency in locating websites using various search engines and databases
b. Compare and evaluate these sites using specific criteria discussed in tutorials

1. Using the various methods your instructor explained during the information literacy tutorial, perform the following tasks:
locate three Africa related websites of any kind, but of particular interest to you.

2. Describe each of the websites you have selected, highlighting their purposes, objectives, areas of concerns, authors, etc...

3. Comparatively evaluate these websites on the basis of the most important criteria for Internet information evaluation discussed during the information literacy tutorials. (Note: the student will select which criteria are the 'most important' for her/him and justify his/her choice)
