Mini-Grants
Mini-Grants provide opportunities during the next four
years for College of Wooster students, faculty, and staff to
create grass roots programs and reflective communities formed
for the purpose of the exploration of vocation. Mini-Grants programs
should
promote
understanding
of
vocation, ethics, and service through creative group
programs or projects.
“Vocation” comes from the Latin verb vocare, meaning “to call.” The
concept refers to deep commitment and wisdom about the purpose of our lives.
If
we
have
a sense of our vocation, we work from and rely upon a foundation that informs
our
whole
lives, and supports daily or temporary questions about jobs, work, careers, or
academic majors.
