CONGRATULATIONS!

The College of Wooster team of Adam Anthony, a senior computer science major, Daniel Tzonev, a senior mathematics and business economics major, and Scott Britton, a sophomore mathematics major, comprised the Wooster team that was named a meritorious winner in the 20th annual Mathematics Contest in Modeling (MCM) after finishing in the top 11 percent among the 599 teams that participated. The Wooster team chose to tackle a problem that required them to propose and test a system to decrease the time customers spent in waiting lines for rides in an amusement park. Chuck Hampton, Johnson Professor of Mathematical Sciences, helped prepare the students through his Math 279 seminar. Only one other Wooster team in history has ranked "meritorious" in the MCM.
