Welcome to the Infinity, the SMAAC newsletter. We will have the 8th high school math contest this year, with the top-scoring schools coming to COW in February to compete in the second round for many different prizes. However, for this event, SMAAC always needs many assistants to lead teams around to various activities and lunch as well as to grade the tests taken by all of the participants. We would appreciate it if you would consider helping us make this event the success it has been in the past. Also, SMAAC still has SMAAC T-shirts available for sale. They have the COW logo and S.M.A.A.C. on the front, and are long-sleeve light brown shirts. Cost is $15.

SMAAC is always looking for new members, so if you are interested, come to a meeting and see what we are all about. We also ask that anyone (even those who do not want to commit to being a member) who has a good math problem suitable for high school juniors submit it to any officer for the math contest.
