on the contextual and historical framework in which folk music,
tales, religious practices, and the visual arts evolved. Examines
the impact of these traditions upon contemporary American society.
Open to non-music majors. No technical knowledge required. Prerequisite:
Africana Studies 100 or permission of instructor. Annually. Spring.
