Music 171
Class Brass Instruments I:
Trumpet and French horn
Study of the mechanics of playing and instructional procedures
and materials relative to brass instruments of the orchestra and
band. One class hour per week for each of two semesters. One-fourth
course credit. Both Music 171 and 172 are required of B.Mus.Ed.
(Public School Teaching) majors. B.Mus.Ed. (Music Therapy) majors
must complete Music 171. Alternate years.
Students are expected to practice 30-45 minutes per day for courses
170-178 and 372.
