Methods in Music Education
A study of specific methods of delivering instruction to children
and adolescents, ages 3-21, in a variety of settings including choral
and instrumental ensembles, general music classrooms, and advanced
music courses such as theory, history, related arts, and humanities-oriented
offerings. Emphasis is on specific teaching techniques in the implementation
of curriculum, classroom procedures and materials, integration of
technology, and the use of various assessment strategies. Field
experiences in a variety of school settings are a major component
of the course. Required of all B.Mus.Ed. majors. Prerequisite: Music
