Study of the basic principles of musical acoustics and the relationship
between the human apparatus of hearing and actual perception of
music. Research literature is reviewed for the psychology of musical
abilities, emotion and meaning in music, development of musical
preference, and behavior of music listeners. One-half course credit.
Required of all B.Mus.Ed. (Music Therapy) majors. Prerequisite:
Music 191. Annually. Fall.
