Zak O'Day
Adjunct Instructor in Music
James Zak O’Day, percussion. Appointed 2007. B.Mus.Ed., Capital
University, Columbus, Ohio. M.Mus., Percussion Performance, University
of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. Studied with Bob Breithaupt at Capital
University and spent two years as instructor for the University
of Toledo Rocket marching band drum line while earning his master’s
degree. With a wide range of musical ability, Mr. O’Day excels
as a classical percussionist as well as a jazz and worl percussionist.
He has led three Afro-Cuban ensembles and performed as the hand
drummer for Columbus Ballet-Met.
