Mus. in Vocal Performance, Ohio State University 1996); work toward D.
Mus. Arts partially completed, Ohio State University. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Templeton performs extensively as a leading operatic baritone in such houses as Opera de Puerto Rico, Edmonton Opera, Manitoba Opera, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Opera Columbus, Sarasota Opera and others. These roles have included the leading baritones of Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Gounod and Tchaikovsky, among others. His credits include the title roles of Don Giovanni and Eugene Onegin, Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), Germont (La Traviata), Miller (Luisa Miller), Marcello (La Boheme), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), and Escamillo (Bizet's Carmen), among others. As a recitalist, he has performed throughout the United States in a diverse offering of recitals and oratorio with the Dallas Chamber Orchestra, South Texas Symphony, Welsh Hills Symphony, and the Long Island Choral Society in repertoire ranging from Mozart's Requiem and Bach's St. Matthew Passion to Vaughan-Williams' Five Mystical Songs and Schubert's Schwanengesang.
