One of the core focuses of Newman is our LIFT group.  LIFT stands for Living In Faith Together.

This is a small faith sharing group that meets weekly on Monday nights.  The format of these discussions can vary from week to week, but it is grounded in the idea that one way to encourage and foster a strong faith throughout life is to share that faith and discuss it within a community setting.

The typical LIFT gathering involves prayer, fellowship, and an opportunity for personal faith sharing.  There is also usually a discussion topic, which could focus on anything from Church history to current events to a question or issue that someone has brought.

LIFT serves as a great time to gather with other students in an inviting atmosphere and enter into engaging discussion!

The only prerequisites for being part of LIFT is a commitment to weekly attendance, an openness to others, a respectful attitude, a willingness to share, and a desire to have a good time.

During the 2005-2006 academic year, LIFT meets Monday nights at 9pm in Lowry 118.
