WOOSTER, Ohio, March 21, 2011 - The College of Wooster is mourning the death of first-year student Cooper Larsh, who perished in a skiing accident during spring break.
President Grant Cornwell sent the following statement to the campus community this afternoon:
"It is with great sadness that I write to share with you the news of the death of Cooper Larsh, a first-year Wooster student from Boulder, Colorado, in a skiing accident in Steamboat Springs on Thursday. The loss of any member of the Wooster family is felt by all of us. Peg and I send our heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved Cooper and know you will join us in offering your prayers to Cooper's family and friends. Please keep them in your thoughts and in your hearts in the difficult days to come.
"When we learn about memorial arrangements, we will send that information to you. A College memorial service will also be held when students return to campus following break."
