Wooster Ensembles Present Sounds of the Season

Wooster Symphony Orchestra, Wooster Singers, Wayne County Choral Union, and soloist Jeanne Miller to perform Friday, Dec. 2

The Wooster Symphony Orchestra, Wooster Singers, Wayne County Choral Union, and soloist Jeanne Miller will perform Friday, Dec. 2, 7:30 p.m. at McGaw Chapel, 340 E. University St. on the campus of The College of Wooster.

The concert includes music for the whole family, including old favorites by Leroy Anderson, Mel Torme, and Irving Berlin. Also on the program are two arrangements by John Rutter.

Jeffrey Lindberg, Wooster professor of music, conducts the Wooster Symphony Orchestra; Wooster Singers are directed by Lisa Wong, Wooster assistant professor of music; the Wayne County Choral Union is directed by Tim Fry.

Sponsored by the Women’s Committee for the Wooster Symphony Orchestra, the concert is a non-subscription event, organized to raise money for music scholarships at The College of Wooster. Ticket suggested donations are $5 for students and $10 for adults, available at The Wooster Book Company, Buehler’s (Milltown and Towne Market), the Lowry Center Wilson Bookstore on campus, and at the door of the concert.
