Pianist Laura Silverman Headlines Faculty Recital at The College of Wooster

Performance to be held on Sunday, Nov. 23, in Gault Recital Hall of Scheide Music Center

WOOSTER, Ohio, — Pianist Laura Silverman, along with Margaret Tung (French Horn) and Joseph Rodriquez (trombone), will present a faculty recital on Sunday, Nov. 23, at The College of Wooster. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 5 p.m. in Gault Recital Hall of Scheide Music Center. 

The program will feature an hour of beautiful music for horn, trombone, and piano, including the Sonata for Horn and Piano by Paul Hindemuth and five Brahms' songs arranged for these three instruments.

Silverman is a member of the faculty at Wooster. Tung is the newly appointed professor of French Horn at The University of Akron. Rodriguez was the acting principal trombone of The Baltimore Symphony for the past two years and was the first trombonist to receive the prestigious artist diploma at Juilliard.
