Wooster Science Cafe returns to First Amendment Public House
Series continues on Sept. 25 with "Beyond 'Moneyball'"
WOOSTER, Ohio – The Wooster Science Café will continue its 2014-15 program when Drew Pasteur, assistant professor of mathematics and computer science at The College of Wooster, presents “Beyond ‘Moneyball’: How Statisticians Are Changing the Game in Pro Sports” on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m., at the First Amendment Public House, 150 W. Liberty St., in Wooster.
Science cafes are grassroots events that have sprung up all over the world, bringing together scientists and non-scientists in casual settings for lively, engaging conversation – all in plain English – on current science topics of interest. Each presenter provides a brief introduction to the evening’s topic and then facilitates a discussion.
