College Mourns the Passing of Ruth Frost Parker

WOOSTER, Ohio – Ruth Frost Parker, an emerita life member of The College of Wooster's board of trustees who served her alma mater in many capacities, including trustee, volunteer, and philanthropist, died Saturday in Sandusky. She was 92.

Ruth Frost was born in Cleveland in 1922 and graduated from The College of Wooster in 1945 with a bachelor's degree in biology. She worked as a medical technician at Good Samaritan Hospital in Sandusky before marrying William Parker in 1954. He preceded her in death.

Parker served on the college's board of trustees from 1989 to 1995, and as a volunteer in two major capital campaigns. She endowed the Ruth Frost Parker Scholarship Fund in 1987 and the Ruth Frost Parker Endowment Fund in 1994. She received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1995.
