“Life After the English Major” Panel Discussion to Be Held April 12
Event features four alumni discussing their careers
WOOSTER, Ohio — Four alumni of The College of Wooster will discuss “Life After the English Major” on Wednesday, April 12, at 4 p.m. in Room 200 of Kauke Hall (400 E. University St.). A reception will follow the discussion. The panelists are Meena Ghaziasgar ’03, Andrew Lewellen ‘03, Sheila Liming ‘05, and Dan Miraldi ‘09.
Ghaziasgar is currently the director of alumni relations at Oberlin College. She earned an M.A. in English from Carnegie Mellon University. She has also worked for the Wooster Weekly newspaper and for the alumni association at Wooster.
Lewellen is a freelance sportswriter who has been published in ESPN Magazine, The News York Times, and Los Angeles Magazine. He is also a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles Professional Program in Writing for Television and received an M.F.A. from Southern Illinois University.
Liming is an assistant professor of English at The University of North Dakota. She received her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon. Her areas of specialty include American literature since 1865, science and technology studies, gender and sexuality studies, and digital studies.
Miraldi received an M.A. in music business from New York University. He is a tour manager, songwriter/musician, and activist.
