Wooster’s Theatre and Dance Department to Present Annual Spring Dance Concert

Performances scheduled for April 13-15 in Freedlander Theatre

WOOSTER, Ohio — The College of Wooster’s Theatre and Dance Department will present its annual spring dance concert Thursday through Saturday, April 13-15, at 7:30 p.m. in Freedlander Theatre (329 E. University St.). Tickets, which can be purchased at the Freedlander Box Office, are $9 for general admission and $6 for senior citizens as well as faculty, staff, and non-College of Wooster students.

The concert will showcase the talents of guest artist, Liliona Quarmyne, who currently works as an independent solo artist in Nova Scotia, Canada. She has extensive training in contemporary, modern, African, ballet, hip-hop, and jazz dance.

Kim Tritt, professor of theatre and dance at Wooster, will direct the concert and present choreography titled “Re-Calling: A Journey.” Student choreographers include seniors Theresa Spadola, Emerald Rutledge, and Maria Witt and juniors Brigitte Brately, Kimi McBride, and Meredith Bruch.

Charlene Gross is the costume designer and Michael Schaffer is the technical director with guest lighting designer John Ebert.
