International Education Week
International Education Week
The Office of International Student Affairs, in collaboration with
various campus offices and student organizations, will be hosting its annual International Education Week (IEW) from November 12-19, 2011. A plethora of events
will be planned for this special week, giving the Wooster community a
variety of opportunities to experience and further its knowledge of
international issues and different cultures that our global community
has to offer.
IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the
U.S. Department of Education. Its goals are to celebrate the benefits
of international education and to recognize the global exchange
environment between the United States and other countries. On the
national level, IEW was first held in 2000. We are
proud to say that IEW has been celebrated at the College of Wooster for
more than thirty years. The first festival was initiated by foreign
language faculty in the 1970s.
