Speaking on Behalf of Others: Itai David Njanji (Zimbabwe)
My journey as an ambassador started the very first day I made up the mind to speak on behalf of my country.
At least to me, the program is all about speaking on behalf of others. . . . To speak on behalf of the poor, the deteriorating climate, the HIV pandemic and the pandemonium caused by greed in politics. The Ambassadors’ Program gave me the opportunity to venture into places that I would never had imagined. I developed as an individual to accept who I am and to embrace the future. . .
I could not have done any thing more worthwhile with my time other than doing the program. It is my sincere wish that the program continues for as long as the college exists. . .
[A]bove all, I have learnt that each and every one of us is an ambassador to someone. We are all role models to other people. This is a great responsibility to carry and the Ambassadors’ Program teaches you how to do it.
