Visiting Assistant Professor of English and History – Joint Position - One-year

The Departments of English and History at The College of Wooster seek to fill a joint, one-year visiting position at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in the fall of 2017. This is a joint appointment in both departments, with required expertise in medieval literature and in the teaching of courses in textual and cultural interpretation as well as the ability to teach topical courses on the history of the Middle Ages. The teaching load is 3-3. Ph.D. in English Literature, History, or Comparative Literature required. As The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (19% domestic students of color and 10% international students); applicants should demonstrate their ability to work with diverse student populations.
