Visiting Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies - Two-year

The College of Wooster is seeking a full-time visiting assistant professor to teach courses in French and Francophone Studies. Two-year appointment, beginning in August 2017. The teaching load is six courses or the equivalent, including language courses of various levels and at least one advanced topics course per year in candidate’s areas of specialization. The specialization is open. We are most interested in candidates who would bring new areas of teaching and research to the department. Courses in the department are taught in French. Native or near-native fluency in French required. This position includes the opportunity to advise majors working on Independent Study projects. The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (19% domestic students of color and 10% international students); applicants should demonstrate their ability to work with diverse student populations.
