Job Description
The Department of History at the College of Wooster invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professorship in Latin American history beginning August 2013. We welcome candidates with expertise in any regional area or chronological period of Latin American history. The successful candidate will teach survey courses in Latin America, as well as introductory courses in history and upper-level courses in his/her area of specialization. He/she will also supervise undergraduate research in the Independent Study Program, the College’s program of faculty-mentored undergraduate research. PhD preferred; advanced ABD will be considered. Please submit a letter of application (addressed to Katherine Holt, Chair of Search Committee), cv, graduate transcript, and three confidential letters of recommendation. Additional evidence of research and teaching interests is welcome. Electronic submission (in pdf format) is required.
