Job Description

The College of Wooster has full-time Communication/Patrol Officer positions available in the Security and Protective Services Department. Officers are responsible for overseeing a full range of security, safety, campus access and administrative functions. Duties include building inspections, dispatching, general campus patrol, policy and parking enforcement, providing emergency support services and other various duties. In addition to possessing a high school diploma or equivalent, valid Ohio driver’s license and no criminal history, successful candidates must have exceptional interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, interact with a variety of campus constituents, and collaboratively as part of a team are essential. OPOTA certification and at least three years of related work experience is preferred although not required.
