Job Description
The College of Wooster (NCAA Division III) is seeking applications for a Head Football Coach. This will be a full time, 12-month, salaried position.
Responsibilities: The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of leadership and management of an NCAA Division III Varsity Football Program. The responsibilities of this 12 month position include planning and coaching all aspects of the program, recruiting, supervision of assistant coaches, practice and game preparation, scheduling, budget management, team travel, compliance with NCAA, NCAC and The College of Wooster rules, regulations and mission, community and campus relations, and all other elements of successful football program. A major component of this position is the ability to recruit quality individuals who meet the high standards of The College of Wooster. The coach must also be able to develop character and fitness in the student athletes involved in the program. The individual may also teach Physical Education courses or receive other assignments as determined by the Director of Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation. The coach is under the direct supervision of the Director of Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required, Masters Degree preferred. Five or more years of successful coaching and recruiting experience at the intercollegiate level. Demonstrated success in building a successful football program. An understanding of a small liberal arts college. Strength in working with student athletes on and off the field. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and implement a strategic plan that will yield program success and positive experience to the team members and staff within the scope of College and department mission.
The College of Wooster is a selective, nationally recognized liberal arts college in northeastern Ohio, located one hour south of Cleveland.
