Interfaith Campus Ministries

The College of Wooster seeks a part-time (15 hours/week) Jewish Life Mentor. Responsibilities include working with Jewish student groups and individuals to support and sustain the Jewish community on campus, as well as working with students and staff of many faiths through the Office of Interfaith Campus Ministries. Other duties include acting as a liaison with the local Jewish community, and collaborating with the Campus Rabbi to produce creative and dynamic programming to educate both Jewish students and the greater campus.

The successful candidate will have completed a minimum of a BS or a BA degree. Experience working with Jewish life programs is required and involvement with an interfaith community of students is preferred. Programming experience and an appreciation for the relationship between the academic and co-curricular programs at a liberal arts institution are essential. Strong interpersonal and excellent communication and administrative skills are critical. Also important will be the candidate's ability to work with and relate to a diverse, multi-faith student population. High energy, creativity, deep faith, a cooperative spirit, sound judgment, and a respect for the balance between innovation and tradition will all be important personal characteristics.
