Welcome to Wooster

We hope that your senior year has been rewarding and that you are looking forward to coming to The College of Wooster. We, the members of the 2008 International Student Orientation Committee and the Student Orientation Committee, will be among the first people to meet you when you arrive on campus. We are excited about the Orientation program. The goal of the program is to help you make a transition from your high school and home experiences to the academic challenges and social independence at The College of Wooster.

This magazine is designed to help begin that transition process. It contains information about those first few days on campus, residential life details, dining options, and health services.  You will find in this publication information about other services available to you including; information technology, network information, postal and package delivery services, and local transportation.  Student activities and organizations, religious activities, and athletic programs are also featured.  Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the information contained in this magazine, and share the magazine with your parents.

Frequent visits to the New Student Orientation home page, http://orientation.wooster.edu, will provide you with up-to-date information about orientation.  You may ask questions about orientation and student life by using our e-mail address: orientation@wooster.edu.

We encourage you to take advantage of the Summer Connect program. Through Summer Connect, Orientation Committee members will be available to answer your questions about Wooster and New Student Orientation.  During the next couple of weeks you will receive a personal letter from an orientation committee member, containing his or her individual College of Wooster e-mail address.  You are invited to use your own College of Wooster e-mail account to send your queries about life at the College.  We look forward to having you join us in August.
