Open Fires

Open fires (bonfires, campfires, etc.) are prohibited by Wooster City ordinance. Grilling and other outdoor cooking are limited to designated picnic areas. Exceptions may be made only by the Wooster Fire Department for a very few cere-monial occasions, such as the Homecoming Bonfire. Applications for any excep-tion from the Wooster Fire Department must be submitted through the Safety Office. Failure to comply with the city ordinance may result in prosecution and a heavy fine as well as College judicial action.
