Brian Sites ('03)
In January 2007 Brian and his teammate won the First Annual National GW Religious Freedom Moot Court Competition, beating Brigham Young University Law School in the final round on a First Amendment freedom of religion case.  Brian graduated from Florida State in May and is clerking for the senior justice on the Florida Supreme Court.

Ben Mizer ('99)
Ben Mizer graduated summa cum laude from the College of Wooster in 1999 with departmental honors. He then attended the University of Michigan Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan Law Review and runner-up in the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition. He also served as a faculty research assistant and as a peer tutor, and he was active in the Law School's a cappella ensemble. Upon graduating magna cum laude from Michigan in 2002, he was named to the Order of the Coif and received the Henry M. Bates Memorial Award, the Law School's highest honor.

After law school, Ben served as a law clerk to Judge Judith W. Rogers of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for the court's 2002-2003 term. As a law clerk, he assisted Judge Rogers in preparing for oral arguments and drafting opinions in cases before the court. Ben then worked as a law clerk to Justice John Paul Stevens of the United States Supreme Court during the 2003-2004 term. Following his clerkship with Justice Stevens, Ben moved to The Hague, the Netherlands, where he is now an Associate Legal Officer in the Office of the President at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. In that capacity, he aids the President of the Tribunal in preparing for and drafting decisions in cases arising out of the atrocities in Yugoslavia and Rwanda during the 1990s.

Ben Mizer will become a clerk for Judge Theodor Meron, President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ITCR).

Lauren C. Bell ('94)
Lauren C. Bell, associate professor of political science at Randolph-Macon College, in Ashland, Virginia, has been selected as the 2006-2007 Supreme Court Fellow assigned to the United States Sentencing Commission.

Matt Kaiser ('94)
Matt Kaiser is a 1994 graduate of The College of Wooster. He is currently an associate at the Washington D.C. law firm of Williams & Connolly, where he practices civil and criminal litigation. Prior to working at Williams & Connolly, Matt served as a law clerk to the Honorable Catherine C. Blake of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center where he was the Senior Articles Editor of Volume 90 of the Georgetown Law Journal.

Matt has experience arguing at both the trial and appellate level and in state and federal courts. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Following his graduation from The College of Wooster, Matt earned a Master's in philosophy from Tulane University, where he focused on philosophy of science and epistemology. He also studied cognitive science and linguistics as a graduate student at the University of Maryland. At Wooster, Matt was a member of Don't Throw Shoes and a philosophy major. He currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife, Bridgette, and son, Owen.
