Student Visa
Students are required to obtain a Spanish
student visa, normally from the Spanish consulate with jurisdiction over the
state in
which
they permanently reside. Links to individual consular web pages can be found
at the Spanish
Embassy Home Page. Individual consular web pages list required materials.
The visa application is done independently of the PRESHCO Application. A valid
passport is required before you can apply for the visa. PRESHCO urges its students
to contact the Office of the Spanish Consulate for their area of residence at
the same time they are completing the PRESHCO Application. Normally, you will
need your official letter of acceptance and the notarized affidavit, provided
by your Campus Coordinator. You may also be asked to provide a notarized letter
from your parents stating their financial responsibility for your personal expenses
during your stay in Spain. If you are financially independent, some other proof
of your financial status may be required. Additional documents, which the Consulate
will make known to you, may also required. Requirements for a Visa Application
vary from one Spanish Consulate office to another. Additional documentation
form the University of Córdoba is provided for students upon acceptance
to the program. Individual school coordinators will assist students with securing
the required visa. It is important that students know as early as possible what
materials are needed to apply for a Student Visa and what the deadlines are
for submitting the application and picking the visa up. Consequently, it is
imperative that students start the process early in order to permit time to
obtain any additional materials the consulate with jurisdiction over their area
may determine necessary.
