A Message from President R. Stanton HalesTuesday, Sept. 11, 2001 The tragedies this morning in New York, Washington, and other locations across the country are yet to be fully comprehended. Although there is much that is unknown to us, we do accept that they will affect all of us in this community deeply. Unfortunately, some will be very directly affected. The College has established in Lowry Center a range of services for those who may need them. These services for counseling and support are centered in Lowry 119. In addition, the Wellness Center is open 24 hours for those needing particular attention. As announced, all regularly scheduled college activities, classes included, are canceled for today and this evening. We ask that members of the faculty and staff remain available to students. An all-campus gathering will be held today at 4 p.m. in McGaw Chapel. Wooster Headline News will carry further information on events here and across the nation as they become available. We ask students to encourage their parents to consult their Web site if they wish to have this information. We offer our deep sympathies to all touched by these tragedies and ask that we endure them together as a community. Sincerely,
R. Stanton Hales, President, College of Wooster |
