PSI Officer Responsibilities
President
- organizes and delegates for all activities of PSI
- is the contact person for all PSI mail (other than program planning)
- plans special trips
- plans Scot Spirit Day participation
- is in charge of room reservations
- is in charge of announcements at the beginning of the meetings
- is in charge of checking up on projects and keeping advisors informed of activities
- is in charge of compiling a list of all the programs and special events that happened during the year
Program Coordinator
- is responsible for compiling a list of possible speakers and topics for the weekly forum.
- plans receptions
- is responsible for keeping the advisors, president, secretary, and treasurer informed of future programs (usually done by e-mail)
- communicates the name, address, and amount for honorarium to the treasurers
- should keep a running list of speakers and their addresses and phone numbers to pass on to the next years officers
Secretary
- takes notes at all officer meetings, and then sends copies to all other officers and advisors
- is in charge of advertisement, which means organizing people to put up fliers
- keeps mailing list up to date
- keeps track of numbers at meetings, passes around attendance list at each meeting
Treasurer
- manage all the financial aspects of PSI
- in charge of planning a budget with the other officers, and applying to SGA and Campus Council for funding
- are in charge of all money transactions and should be very prompt about getting checks
- write all speakers thank you notes with the honorarium and travel checks
- are responsible for keeping a log of all expenses and the corresponding receipts
