Human Subjects Research Committee

All research conducted at The College of Wooster which involves humans as participants must be reviewed by Human Subjects Research Committee (HSRC).

The actions of the HSRC and the principles guiding their decisions are detailed in The College of Wooster's Policy on the Protection of Human Subjects (in PDF format).

All researchers employing human subjects should first download and read the policy.

Application forms can be downloaded below in Microsoft Word format.

Some research is exempt from HSRC review. However, federal guidelines require that exempt research be reviewed by a HSRC committee member so that the exempt status may be confirmed. Research that is not exempt from review requires the use of the Full and Expedited review form.
