College of Wooster Psi Chi: Membership Requirements

Among the local and national organizations requirements for membership in Psi Chi are:

1. Completion of at least 3 semesters of college.
2. Completion of at least 3 psychology courses. At least two of these must satisfy requirements toward the psychology major or minor.
3. Declaration of a major or minor in psychology or a related special major or minor.
4. You must rank in the top 35% or your graduating class. This varies from year to year, but recently this requirement translates to a GPA of approximately 3.25. Members must also have a 3.0 average GPA in psychology courses.
5. High standards of personal behavior.
6. Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular meeting of the chapter.
