Independent Study Format Style

Each I.S. should have a title page, a one-page abstract,table
of contents, introduction, chapters, conclusion,footnotes,
and bibliography. Footnotes at bottom of the page are required. The
bibliography should include all relevant sources consulted in this project
and should duplicate citations (in the proper bibliographic format) sources
already listed in the footnotes. The decision to have appendix, illustrations
(charts, graphs, photos, drawings), glossary, bibliographical annotation
is optional.
In terms of style, the department requires use of Kate Turabian's A Manual
for Writers, Sixth edition. You may find this in the Library reference
section, or may purchase it in the bookstore.
