The Student Employment Office is located inside of the Human Resource Building.

Student Employment is a division of The College of Wooster's Human Resources Department. We are located in the west office space of the Service Building, located behind the Longbrake Wellness Center.

As a student employee you will find that working on campus can be a meaningful and valuable part of your educational experience. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your job skills as well as develop your communication, organizational, research and investigative skills, all of which are important for career development.

Only students that are enrolled in 3 or more accredited classes per semester are eligible for campus employment. You can work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year in approximately 90 different academic, administrative, and support service departments. Previous work experience, demonstrated job skills, motivation, and a willingness to learn will help you in your search for employment.

While the College does not guarantee you a job we are committed to helping you find employment. If you are a student that has a work-study allocation as part of your financial aid package you will have priority in the application and job referral process for several weeks at the start of the Fall Semester.

If you are a new student we recommend that you attend the workshop on Student Employment held during New Student Orientation. You will be informed about employment opportunities and staff members will answer questions regarding the procedures and policies for campus employment. You are also encouraged to visit the Student Employment Office where a staff member can help you with the details of your job search.

The employment process is very competitive with many students applying for the same job. If you do not get a job the first time you try we encourage you to be patient, flexible and persistent. Continue to visit Student Employment to inquire about current job openings.

All employees of the College are required to complete the appropriate federal and state paperwork before starting to work. You will need to present the proper identification at the time you complete your federal forms so we recommend that you bring your passport, social security card or birth certificate with you.
