jess winchell , class of 2009
Jessica grew up on a small family-operated dairy farm in Garrettsville, Ohio. She came to Wooster to study animal psychology and biology. She soon found herself working late into the night in the animal labs testing handedness in Capuchin Monkeys. Her friends began to grow concerned as Jessica's skin grew paler by the day. Jessica had not seen sun for months. Her whole demeanor changed, from laid back and witty to high-strung and angsty. Towards the end of her sophomore year, even her adviser told her to start spending time outside the lab, but Jessica would not listen. One day, a group of first graders came to the lab to see the monkeys, but were instead greeted with a half co-ed, half small, furry critter monster! In an instant, though, it was gone, and only a baby macaque remained where the creature stood. Your guess is as good as mine, but some people say that that macaque will print out data sheets late into the night...
