Ubunto

Ubuntu is an organization which was created in 2007 and seeks to address and promote awareness and action in regards to global health crises such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, and poverty. The word Ubuntu comes from the Bantu language and represents the spirit of community, togetherness, and the idea that we are all strongest if we are able to help and support one another. The group volunteers and spreads awareness by creating flyers, leaflets, pamphlets, and other informational tools. In 2008 the group raised money for the Cleveland AIDS/Walk and has also done a candlelight vigil and distributed AIDS ribbons and information for World AIDS day.
