Commercial Stuffing Policy

Commercial stuffings can be placed in individual student mailboxes for a fee of $100. Checks or money orders should be made payable to The College of Wooster. This fee must be paid in advance of the stuffing being completed.

Size

The stuffings must fit into the student mail box which measures 3x5x14. If the piece is an 8 ½ by 11 it must be trifolded. A stuffing consists of 1 flyer per mail box. The minimum size is 3x5.

Content 

There can be no mention of alcoholic beverages on the flyer.The content must be nondiscriminatory and the services available to all COW students. In cases of interpretation of content, the Scot’s Key and the College’s Code of Social Responsibility will be consulted.

Date of Stuffing 

Stuffings are done at the discretion of the mail room manager. The first priority for each day will be the distribution of College mail. Stuffings should arrive the day prior to the desired stuffing date. There will be no guarantee of a date of stuffing. They will be done as soon as possible.

The number of open mail boxes will vary each semester.  In a normal year there are approximately 1850 open mail boxes at any given time.

As an alternative to stuffing mail boxes a shelf is available under the ride board in Lowry Center for the placement of flyers. There is no fee for this service. Flyers placed on this shelf should fit on it and be limited to 200 or less copies.
