Placement Exams

You will need to log in using your Wooster user name and password for each exam. If you have not yet activated Wooster email, you will need to do this before taking the exam.

Mathematics

The mathematics exam is mandatory for every student. The exam may only be taken once, please do not log in until you are ready to begin the exam. The exam has a time limit of 90 minutes and you are requested to refrain from using a calculator.

Chemistry

The Chemistry placement exam is not mandatory, but should be taken by every student who plans to take a Chemistry course at Wooster. Students with interests in any of the following majors should take this exam: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Geology, Neuroscience, or in the pre-health field. You may use a Periodic Table for reference on this exam. There are two Chemistry placement exams, please begin with this exam. You only need to take the second exam if you are directed to after your first exam is complete. Before you begin the exam, you will be asked "You are about to enroll yourself as a member of this course. Are you sure you wish to do this?" Please select yes.

Biology
