Facilities Use Policy
The Office of Interfaith Campus Ministries seeks to provide a welcoming space for use by members of the campus community. In order to maintain the quality and cleanliness of the space and equipment for each person and group that enters, we have established the following policy.
Public areas of the Overholt house shall be available for use by all members of the campus. If you would like access to UnderOver (the basement) for the entire semester, please email Campus Access. Students will be able to gain access from 4pm – 10pm on weekdays and 9 am – 10 pm on weekends. After normal office hours, please utilize the new south entrance for access to UnderOver. The building manager reserves the right to refuse use of the public spaces to groups or individuals who have not followed building etiquette.
In order to reserve UnderOver for an event, please email OICM. All reservations for the kitchen area must include the name and contact information for the person responsible for the event. The responsible person should contact OICM at least a week in advance of the event to receive a copy of the kitchen etiquette document. Should there be concerns, the building manager or other staff from OICM will work with the contact person to resolve the concerns.
Priority shall be given to staff and students related to The Office of Interfaith Campus Ministries and the Wooster Volunteer Network. All OICM staff shall also have read/write access to the reservation calendar. During the first 2 weeks of each semester, reservation access shall be restricted to OICM staff and related student groups and the Wooster Volunteer Network. These parties may reserve the space for regular meetings and events. Following the two-week grace period, all public spaces may be reserved by any member of the campus.
The kitchen with the eating area is intended to be a hospitality space. Therefore any persons using the kitchen are expected to remain in the space to share fellowship. The kitchen may not be used to cook food that will then be served elsewhere on campus. In order to decrease waste, please avoid using paper plates and paper cups. You are welcome to use the dishes in the kitchen as long as they are cleaned after use.
Food is not allowed in the bean bag room. UnderOver is substance free. Consumption of alcohol or drugs is prohibited in the space.
It is expected that all parties who use the space will respect others who may also be using the building as well as see themselves as responsible for maintaining a high quality facility for the campus community. We reserve the right to refuse reservations for persons or groups who violate this spirit.
