During the winter break, the WVN offers a student-led trip to the Gulf Coast to help with hurricane relief. Students on the trip are engaged in demolition and repair work. While there they reflect on realities of race and class in the reconstruction efforts, the role and responsibility of government and private agencies, impact of the natural environment and human intervention in natural cycles, and more.
