Elementary school students doing experiments

Chemistry Club

The Chemistry Club is a nationally recognized student chapter of the American Chemical Society and is made up of about twenty enthusiastic students, both majors and non-majors. The Club gathers once every two to three weeks (usually Sundays from 7:00-7:30 PM) to plan and discuss upcoming events (pizza/snacks are often included). Such events include outreach activities (making liquid nitrogen ice cream at a local elementary school), fundraising, upcoming speakers, and National Chemistry Week/Earth Day activities. The Chemistry Club also plans socials for the club members, such as dinner at Applebee’s or pizza and bowling at Scot Lanes.
