Winter Break Housing

UPDATE: Registration for Winter Break Housing has closed. If you need to inquire about staying on campus, please contact the Office of Residence Life at 330-263-2498. Please note that the College will be closed from Wednesday, December 23rd and will reopen on Monday, January 4th.
Winter Break occurs from December 18th through January 16th. Students wishing to stay on campus during Winter Break must complete the Winter Break Housing Application. For those students not registered to stay over break, residence halls will close at 10am on Friday, December 18th and will reopen at 10am on Saturday, January 16th.
The following residence halls will be open for students during Winter Break; Babcock, Compton, Holden, Kenarden and Wagner. All other residence halls and all campus houses will be closed. Students who plan on staying on campus over break and currently live in a hall that will be closed will need to make arrangements to stay in an open building. It is recommended that students begin looking for a temporary housing location for Winter Break as soon as possible. Students who will be staying in temporary housing locations will need to have all residents of that room complete the Winter Break Temporary Housing Agreement Form.
Cost to Stay
Students wishing to stay on campus during Winter Break will be required to pay the following daily fees: $15/day for domestic students, $7/day for international students and those students who are working at least 10 hours/week at an on campus job. Students who are required to stay on campus for athletics will not be charged.
Deadline to Apply
The deadline to apply for Winter Break Housing is Friday, December 4th. Applications submitted after that date will be subject to a $25 late fee.
Students who are returning to campus in the Spring Semester do not need to complete any checkout forms. Students who are not returning to campus for the Spring Semester must check out of their room before leaving campus. There are two options available:
- Students can complete the Express Checkout Form (.pdf) and turn it in to either their RA or the Residence Life Office.
- Students can have their RA check them out in person. Students who choose this option must set up their appointment at least 24 hours in advance of leaving campus.
