As someone with a passion for working in a liberal arts learning environment, I'm excited to begin my work at the College of Wooster and with the residents of Holden Hall, Holden Annex, and the Campus Program and Charter Houses! The kind of learning that takes place all around a residential campus like Wooster is part of what makes it such a great place for students to go to school and such a dynamic place for me to work, both within and beyond my "normal" office hours.
When I started my own collegiate career at South Dakota State University (GO JACKS!!), I expected to become a newspaper editor or press secretary. However, my time working as a Resident Assistant and as chair of our Student Union and Activities Advisory Council helped me see the potential career that awaited me working in the college and university setting. I went straight to work as a Hall Director at Carleton College immediately upon graduating from State, and I took my four years of experience there into earning my Master's Degree at Miami University here in Ohio. I come to Wooster most recently from NCAC rival Kenyon College, so I've had to replace my purple attire with plenty of Wooster Black & Gold!
Aside from finding me in my office in the Residential Life Suite in Culbertson/Slater Complex or in my staff apartment in Holden Hall, you're likely to find me walking around the beautiful Wooster campus with my 3-year-old lab/beagle mix, Harney, or attending any of the exciting sporting events, exceptional performances, and thought-provoking lectures that ensure there's always something interesting going on at Wooster!
