Getting Help: Help Desk Services
The Help Desk (xHELP or x4357) is the first place for students, faculty, and staff to call for help with computers, printers, network issues, and copiers.
Student Help Desk
Our student consultants are trained to solve a variety of problems involving hardware and supported software. In addition to telephone support, these students are available in Andrews Library to provide walk-in support for virus, spyware, e-mail, wireless, and printing issues. Student technicians are also available in Taylor Hall Room 205, where users have access to Windows and Macintosh computers and scanners. The student technicians also support the two computer classrooms available for users when not in use for classes in Taylor 209 and 210.
If the Student consultants are unable to solve the problem, it is immediately escalated to the appropriate department. Network issues are submitted as work orders to the Department of Networks, Telecommunications, and Systems. Other issues will be addressed with the appropriate staff and the user will be contacted with a solution.
Employee Help Desk
The employee help desk is staffed by skilled technicians who are available to provide phone support Monday through Friday 8:00am until noon and 1:00pm until 5:00pm. If the issue requires a site visit, a technician will be dispatched to provide assistance.
Classroom technology emergencies should be directed to x1111.
If you have any questions or concerns about technology on campus, please contact the Help Desk and they can assist you in getting the help you need.
